Mandelic Acid has the largest molecule among AHAs, which means slower, more even penetration. This is the AHA generally preferred for Fitzpatrick III–V skin tones because it tends to carry a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation than smaller acids like glycolic. Results vary; patch-test recommended.
